Cereal Storage Turned Pet Food Container
Sometimes, projects I do are so simple, I wonder if anyone would really be interested in them. I wonder if it's worth it to even post it. This was one of those.
It may seem minuscule, but having obnoxious pet food bags on the shelves in my pantry kiiinda irritates me. So, my solution was to get a couple of cereal storage containers and customize them- one for our dog, Leonardo and one for our cat, Penelope.
I found these great vinyl stickers here for insanely cheap and the cereal containers were 3 for $6.99 at Ross (I still haven't decided what to do with the third one...maybe we need a third animal ;) ). Altogether, this cost about $13 and about 15 minutes of patience. I found the easiest way to apply the stickers was to put a piece of packing tape along where the bottom of the letters should sit in order to keep them straight.
Sometimes, it's the easiest and most simple projects that make the biggest impact. I don't worry about open pet food bags attracting ants ants anymore, feeding time is actually easier not having to fiddle with the bag, and... they look a lot cuter.
