Champagne Pineapple Housewarming Gift
Today is my coworker, Desiree's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GIRL! A few weeks ago, we were invited to her home for a housewarming party. She just closed on it a couple months ago and it is absolutely beautiful! It was luau themed, so I went about creating this little pineapple out of a bottle of champagne, 52 Ferrero Rochers, some faux leaves, and tissue paper.
- 52 Ferrero Rochers
- Yellow Tissue Paper (to be honest, I think black would have worked out better)
- Hot glue + gun
- Champagne bottle (with the biggest base you can find)
- Faux Leaves
- Pretty Bow
Start by covering the bottle with tissue paper. This is just to create a protective barrier between the chocolates and the bottle so the bottle doesn't get glue-y. The Ferrero Rochers come in a little candy paper cups, and leaving them on makes the pineapple look a little more realistic. To keep them from falling out of the liners, i added a tiny dot of hot glue, making sure to only get it on the foil and not on the chocolate. I started from the bottom of the bottle and worked my way around, making sure not to leave any gaps. When I got towards the top, I glued the leaves onto the neck of the bottle, then added more chocolates to cover the leaf stems. I then covered it with cellophane and added a bow.
It was definitely a unique housewarming gift and it made me feel so so happy to see her face light up when I gave it to her. Happy Birthday, Des! Cheers!
