Trunk Coffee Table Makeover
As you may remember from my Tire Turned Ottoman post, J & I have recently gotten really in to flipping furniture. We love getting up early on Sunday mornings and heading to the flea market to search for treasures. Unfortunately, with the wedding coming up, we haven't been able to dedicate the time to it that we would like. However, about a month ago, on one such excursion to the flea, we came across this beauty.
I know. try to contain your excitement.
The man selling it didn't originally have it for sale. It was just holding a bunch of picture frames that were for sale. He looked at me like a crazy person when I asked how much he wanted for it, but relented and gave it to me for $20. TWENTY DOLLARS! So my incredibly strong and masculine and patient future hubby hucked it to the car for me...he's the best.
Thanks, babe. Love ya.
I had originally had other plans for it, but the fact that it is made out of particle board changed the plans pretty quickly, and I couldn't be more thrilled with how it came out. Just a couple coats of paint and some legs screwed into the bottom of it and VOILA! We have a brand new coffee table.
I love that it can be a storage space as well for blankets and pillows and TV remotes. I hadn't originally planned to keep it, it was going to join the Ottoman for sale on Chairish, but, J fell in love with it and eventually I did too as it will look lovely in our new living room, which brings me to a bit of news...
We're so excited to move into a much bigger space with a yard and a hot tub in October. I can't wait to show you all of the remodeling DIYs and decor I have planned! Stay tuned!
