New Living Room Reveal
We have now been in our new home for 7 months. You may remember me talking about moving in a few other posts here and there, and let me tell you... it has been quite the process. We moved in to a bit of a fixer upper, with full knowledge that it would take a while to get it to where we wanted. However, we love the process and all the DIYd that come with it. I want to share a few pictures of what the house looked like in little "before and afters" one room at a time, and I think I'll start with the living room, since you've already seen our little guy's Superhero Bedroom.
When we first moved in, all the walls were stark white. Almost hospital white and it needed a little warmth. Without making too much of a drastic change, we painted the walls Sherwin-Williams' Wintersweet Gray. For being such a light gray, it made a pretty big impact and we ended up extending it throughout the whole house.
Also, yes there's a random giant tube television in the middle of our living room in the "before" photo. It was left there by the past tenant and took two big burly men to remove haha.
You may recognize the coffee table from my Trunk Coffee Table post. Originally, I had painted it the prettiest robin's egg blue, but once we decided to keep it, I re-painted in white so that it would go better in our space. Oh, and that darling wingback chair in the corner? It was free. I found it when a thrift store was giving it away because it wouldn't sell. I have no idea why, because it's gorgeous and just needed a little cleaning up.

While it's still a work in progress, it's comfy and warm, and my favorite place to be after a long day. It has already hosted present-opening on Christmas morning, family game nights, and gossip seshes with my girlfriends. It's slowly, but surely, becoming home.
